January 2021 – Michigan
I love everything about these pictures. Gwen and I asked our co worker Sebastian to help us find tunnels in the woods in the middle of January. We were our hunter boots and went beyond trails in no particular direction. We were filming this YouTube series, the plot was not so simple… It goes like this; we wanted to film the Top Ten Tunnels in the woods, as we were paying homage to our Top Ten Tunnel tour guild “Manuel” who we found on Craigslist (Manuel was played by Sebastian). Manuel was never able to give us the complete tour of the Tunnels. He was saving Tunnels 9 and 10 for a special day, but we never heard from him again. So we set off to find the Tunnels ourselves, while we revisited the other Tunnels that he showed to us. The videos were meant to get creepier as we were going to include more darker details into these Tunnel Tours. I had this idea that we should get Sebastian to wear all orange clothing, then stand on the side of the road and pretend to hitchhike, as his character Manuel had gone to prison and escaped. After we would have picked up the hitchhiking Manuel, we would act all oblivious as to why he was on the side of the road in all orange. Then, Tunnel Tours 9 and 10 would get super creepy and distorted like Alan Tutorial in his last videos.
