I have been listening to the book of Ecclesiastes which was written by King Solomon in the Bible. It talks a lot about the pursuit of vanity, what God decides to give you and what you should derive pleasure from. God is a generous God to be completely honest. He wants to give to those who deserve it. I often fall into a trap of guilt where I have to pray shame away because I always wonder if I deserve the gifts I’ve been given or not. Sometimes I want to plan to give it all back, but honestly I am just going to live for Christ rather than living for what I think is right. You’d be surprised, sometimes what you think is right is actually counter intuitive to what a community actually needs. If God calls you to help with a community, that is a different story.
